For the particle measurement in a particle size range of 1-2000μm, laser sensors are used, who work after the light blockage principle. The sensor consists of a light source (laser), an optic and a detection unit. The liquid or air goes through a glass cell and bypasses in that way the laser beam. The sensors can be used and supplied at different evaluation devices. The size of the measuring cell simulates the flow and the range of particle sizes. According to the application, OEM-sensors can be equipped with different connection cables.

Cleaning with appropriate solvents (the operator needs to choose them).
Recommendation: after particle measurement in water: rinse with approx. 50ml distilled water.
After particle measurement in oil: rinse device with clean oil; let rinsing liquid stay in the device.
Particle
measurement in air: Blow the sensor regularly with pressure air; when
needed clean the glasses with solvent and brush; Caution: when bringing
the brush in the glass, be careful that the glass surface will not be
scratched!
Consider the material of the sensor:
Standard: V4A (4571), seals NBR, glasses quarz.
Option: V4A (4571), seals Isolast, glasses Saphir.
Brushes are available in different sizes starting from LDS 30/30.
The laser can adjust to pollutions of approx. 10%.
Sensor error due to pollution or damage of the light source is displayed in the menu with a display or with the LED.
